Boho Java Glass Beads

The colored glass beads are handcrafted on the island of Java in Indonesia. Indonesia has a ancient and storied tradition of glass-making that extends back over one thousands of years.

Mala beads are the black and white spacer beads. They are made of bones fashioned in a special disk shape. Each of these bone beads was hand-carved out of reclaimed cow bone in the mountainous regions of Nepal.
